Neil is a senior expert in the fields of green finance, sustainable city strategies, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and innovation strategies. Over the past 17 years, Neil has worked with clients in the public and private sectors across Europe, the US, Africa, Asia/Pacific and Latin America to address a range of sustainable development needs, from developing national climate and investment strategies to testing new innovations in the field. For the past 6 years, Neil has overseen the expansion of the international innovation agency Climate-KIC’s programmes in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Recently, Neil has helped launch new climate innovation clusters in Tanzania and Kenya, a strategic partnership between the European Union and State of California on climate innovation and oversees a long-running programme to support new climate adaptation businesses and services in Africa and Asia. Prior to joining Climate-KIC, Neil oversaw the development of C40 Cities climate finance programmes.

Education: Neil holds a BA in Archaeology and Environmental Economics from the University of Nottingham and a MA in International Relations from the University of Kent.
