Elhan is a climate finance and infrastructure finance expert. Joining Mineral Springs at the beginning of 2024, Elhan has contributed to the delivery of the Green Cities Infrastructure Programme for the FCDO and supported private sector clients to improve their access to finance. Previously, Elhan was a senior analyst at the Green Finance Institute where he contributed to the design and implementation of the London Green Finance Fund, which has made £500m available for climate related projects at the city level. Elhan acted as a crucial component in designing the Green Finance Guarantee Facility, which is expected to be launched in H2 2024 and could potentially mobilise several billion dollars for climate-smart infrastructure in developing economies. Elhan also led several research projects, including exploring how offtake support mechanisms could unlock private finance, creating a guide to investing in the EV battery supply chain and writing a report on local authority climate finance.
Education: Elhan holds a BSc in Mathematics from Loughborough University, with a focus on financial mathematics
