Dave is a green finance and climate adaptation expert. He supports governments, the private sector and civil society across sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and Latin America to finance and implement solutions that will make them resilient to the long-term impact of climate change. Dave has worked at the environmental thinktank, the International Institute of Environment and Development (IIED), Ricardo Energy & Environment, and for Global Affairs Canada. Dave has a deep knowledge of the public and private financing mechanisms, instruments and funds that deliver climate finance to cities. Recently, Dave has focused on building capacity of cities to finance green urban infrastructure. He has helped developed trainings for city officials on green finance, has developed financial blueprints on successful green investments for cities, advised development banks on how to finance green projects, and documented delivery models for sub-national, locally led adaptation programs.
